UAE Travel Procedure

Travel procedures from the country of departure

• If you are holding a Dubai residency visa, please complete the application independently on the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) website directly. For a non-Dubai residency visa, please complete the ICA application.
• If your application is approved, you will receive an email with a GDRFA /ICA reference number.
• Book Airline tickets and enter your GDRFA/ICA Application Number.
• No PCR test is required – If any local or country instruction exists, for example Pakistan, where passengers are required to carry COVID-negative certificate before departure, the passenger will need to follow local guidelines.
• Fill the health declaration form
• Cost declaration form – At check-in, returning residents must declare that they either have health insurance that covers COVID-19 or will bear any costs for treatment and quarantine if required.
• Quarantine undertaking form

Arrival procedures at Dubai airport

• You are required to take the PCR test at the airport and remain in your residence until you receive the test result
• You must download the COVID-19 – DXB Smart App
• Follow precautionary measures

For returning residents testing positive in COVID-19

All the positive cases must be quarantined for 14 days and follow the strict guidelines by COVID-19 command and control center including home/ institutional quarantine and hospitalization.

Procedures at the travel destination

All the official procedures set up by the destination country will have to be followed regarding COVID-19 testing and isolation.

The procedure from departure destination

• PCR test at the airport if not done at least 4 days prior
