Guidelines for passengers to or from India

The Air India Express has started confirming bookings for passengers traveling between UAE and India.

Important Information
For Travelers from India to UAE:

  •  Only UAE nationals or resident permit holders are allowed to enter UAE. Also, Indian nationals traveling  to Dubai and Sharjah must have valid Visa to enable their entry.
  • All the passengers of 12 years or above will have to present a printed report of PCR test taken not more than 96 hours prior to scheduled departure. The test must be taken at Indian government approved lab or certified designated lab.
  • Upon arrival, a health declaration and quarantine undertaking form must be submitted at the airport.
  • All resident visa holders travelling to Sharjah or Abu Dhabi are supposed to get ICA return approval.
  • Travelers to Dubai with resident visa are supposed to get approval from General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA).
  • For COVID-19 positive passengers, it is mandatory to follow all the guidelines. The treatment expenses are supposed to be met on their own.
  • According to The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, if you have valid resident permit holder than you are supposed to upload data on Holders returning to UAE to upload their data on the ica.gov.ae to verify travel documents.
  • For UAE tourist visa holding Indians travelling to Dubai or Sharjah must have minimum 6 months validity of all the documents from the date of arrival.

For travelers from UAE to India

  • Indian Nationals registered at the official website of Indian Embassy, Abu Dhabi or the Consulate General of India can book their tickets if they intend to go back to India under Vande Bharat Mission. Passengers must fulfill all the entry conditions.
  • Passenger with OCI card and UAE passport and valid eligibility to enter India according to the guidelines of Ministry of Home affairs issued on 30.06.2020 are allowed to travel from UAE to India.
  • Passengers traveling from Abu Dhabi or Sharjah must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test report, taken not more than 96 hours prior to the scheduled departure.
  • Submit an on-line self reporting form through https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registration and consent self payment of institutional quarantine.

Note:Note:

  • Passengers with disability do not need to undergo PCR test if traveling to Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
  • For travelers to Dubai: download DXB app

For travelers to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah: download Al Hasn app.

  • Passengers with valid resident visa only will be allowed to enter Abu Dhabi.
  • Please check official website of UAE government to keep updated about regulations on travel.
  • Reach airport at least 4 hours prior to departure time and follow the COVID protocol strictly at the airport.
  • Passengers who took PCR test will be exempted from Rapid test.
  • Passengers traveling to India must be registered at Indian Embassy UAE or consulate general at Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
  • It is recommended to get heath insurance.
