Day 01 – Arrival in Negombo

Travel Distance: Approx. 15 km / 20 minutes
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and meet & greet your cycling tour representative.
Proceed to the hotel in Negombo.

Begin the first leg of your cycling journey as you explore the scenic coastal stretch of Negombo, passing charming fishing villages, coconut-lined roads, and glimpses of local life along the lagoon.

The route offers a relaxed start to your tour, with gentle roads that run parallel to the shoreline and the Negombo Lagoon. You’ll see traditional fishing boats, morning fish markets, and clusters of seaside homes that reflect the area’s strong coastal heritage. The cool breeze and open views make this an enjoyable warm-up ride, giving you a first taste of Sri Lanka’s vibrant coastal culture.

Day 02: Negombo to Dambulla

Travel Time: Approx. 140 km / 3.5 hours

Proceed to Dambulla, located in Sri Lanka’s cultural heartland.

Experience an authentic Sri Lankan Village Tour including traditional lunch (Entry Fee applies – USD 20.00 per person).

Experience rural life as you travel through a traditional Sri Lankan village by tuk tuk, tractor, or catamaran. Interact with local villagers and observe age-old farming and cooking practices. Enjoy demonstrations of traditional crafts and daily activities passed down through generations. The tour concludes with a freshly prepared village-style lunch served in an authentic rustic setting.

Day 03: Sigiriya Exploration & Minneriya National Park

Travel Time: Minimal

Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its ancient engineering and frescoes. (Entry Fee applies – USD 36.00 per person)

Admire its beautifully preserved frescoes and the impressive Lion Gate entrance. Walk through the landscaped water gardens at the base before ascending to the summit. The top offers sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

In the afternoon, proceed on a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, known for its elephant population and rich wildlife. (Entry Fee applies – USD 55.00 per person)

Embark on an exciting jeep safari through Minneriya National Park, a sanctuary famous for its large herds of wild elephants. The journey takes you across open grasslands, forest patches, and the scenic Minneriya Tank. Along the way, you may spot deer, monkeys, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. The experience offers a close look at Sri Lanka’s natural beauty and diverse wildlife in their undisturbed habitat.

Day 04: Dambulla to Kandy

Travel Time: Approx. 75 km / 2 hours

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

Proceed to Kandy, stopping en route for a guided visit to a Spice Garden in Matale.

Arrive in Kandy, the cultural capital surrounded by lush hills.

Proceed on a Kandy City Tour including Kandy Lake and local markets.

Optional visit to a Gem Lapidary followed by evening Cultural Dance Show.

Day 05: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Travel Time: Approx. 80 km / 2.5 hours

Day 06: Nuwara Eliya Exploration & Horton Plains

Optional – Early morning departure for Horton Plains National Park to explore World’s End and Baker’s Falls (Entry fee applies – USD 55.00 per person).

Begin your journey at dawn as you enter the mist-covered landscapes of Horton Plains National Park. Walk along scenic trails that lead to World’s End, a dramatic escarpment offering breathtaking views on clear mornings. Continue through the cloud forest and grasslands to reach the picturesque Baker’s Falls, surrounded by lush greenery. The hike provides a refreshing blend of cool climate, diverse flora, and serene natural beauty.

Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Spend the rest of the day exploring Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as “Little England,” with sights such as Gregory Lake and colonial-style architecture.

Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lankan hill country, it is the home of the famous Ceylon Tea and the rolling mountains are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls. The salubrious climate, misty glens and the decidedly British character make Nuwara Eliya a must on any Sri Lankan travel industry

Day 07 – Nuwara Eliya to Colombo
