Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival – Airport to Kandy - Travel Time: Approx. 115 km / 3 hours

Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and meet & greet with the tour representative.

Proceed to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka surrounded by scenic hills.

En route, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a renowned sanctuary established to care for orphaned and injured elephants.

Here you will have the opportunity to observe these gentle giants up close, watch them being bottle-fed, and see them bathing in the nearby river, which is one of the most memorable experiences for visitors.

After the visit, continue your journey to Kandy. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax after the day’s travel.

Day 02: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya - Travel Time: Approx. 95 km / 3 hours

Enjoy a comprehensive city tour of Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty.

The highlight of the visit is the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most revered Buddhist temples in the world, believed to house a relic of the Buddha’s tooth. The temple complex is an important pilgrimage site and a significant symbol of Sri Lanka’s Buddhist heritage.

During the tour, you will also visit the picturesque Kandy Lake located in the heart of the city, explore vibrant local markets, and have the opportunity to visit gem museum to learn about Sri Lanka’s famous precious and semi-precious gemstones. You may also enjoy panoramic viewpoints that offer stunning views of the city and surrounding hills.

Day 03: Nuwara Eliya City Tour

Visit Gregory Lake, a picturesque lake where you can enjoy boat rides or a relaxing walk along the promenade.

Explore Hakgala Gardens, one of Sri Lanka’s largest botanical gardens, filled with colorful flowers and exotic plants.

Optional visit to Victoria Park, perfect for a leisurely stroll surrounded by flowering plants and birdlife.

Tour a local tea plantation and factory, learn about Ceylon tea production, and taste fresh teas.
Evening at leisure to enjoy Nuwara Eliya’s cool climate, colonial architecture, or a quiet café.

Day 04: Nuwara Eliya to Bentota - Travel Time: Approx. 220 km / 5.5 hours

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

Depart for Bentota, a coastal town famous for its beaches.

Enjoy a scenic boat safari along the Madu River, a unique wetland ecosystem surrounded by dense mangrove forests and dotted with small islands. During the boat ride, you may visit cinnamon plantations, small temples on the islands, and observe the rich biodiversity of the area including birds, fish, and reptiles.

After the safari, visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, a conservation project dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles. Here you will learn about the turtle breeding and conservation process.

Continue to Bentota and check in at the hotel. Relax and enjoy the peaceful beachside environment.

Day 05: Galle Excursion

Proceed for an excursion to the historic coastal city of Galle, famous for its colonial heritage and charming seaside atmosphere.

Explore the remarkable Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and later fortified by the Dutch.

The fort is surrounded by massive stone ramparts overlooking the Indian Ocean and contains narrow cobblestone streets lined with colonial buildings, boutique shops, cafes, museums, and art galleries.

During the visit, you can walk along the historic ramparts, see the iconic lighthouse, visit small museums and churches, and experience the unique blend of European architecture and South Asian culture that makes the fort so special.

After the excursion, return to Bentota and relax at the hotel.

Day 06: Bentota – Departure - Travel Time: Approx. 115 km / 2.5 hours

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

Spend some time relaxing by the beach or enjoying the hotel facilities before your departure.

Later, proceed to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward flight, taking with you wonderful memories of your journey through Sri Lanka.
