5. Watching the Aurora Borealis

6. Amalfi Coast, Italy

One of Italy’s most piercing destinations, the Amalfi Coast is considered to be an excellent example of a Mediterranean landscape by UNESCO. The Coast comprises of turquoise seas, perfect piazzas as well as Italy’s finest restaurants and hotels.

7. Stroll through the gardens and temples of Kyoto

Though destroyed by many wars and fires over the centuries, countless temples, shrines and other historically priceless structures survive in Kyoto today. This hardly comes as a surprise as the city was the imperial capital of Japan for over a thousand years. It is a calming beat to the futuristic buzz of Japan and is home to the best tea ceremony masters and traditional ryokan inns.

8. Le Mont Saint Michel, Normandy, France

Rising from the sea, Mont St. Michel is a medieval fortress town, a commune and a rocky tidal island all merged into a majestic walled city. A trip here isn’t complete if you miss the outstanding local crepes and cider, and if you have brought your Hunter boots, then a hike across the bay as well.

If you happen to be in Europe during spring, it is best advised to visit Netherlands when visitors are guaranteed to see flowers in full bloom. And if you’ve heard from the locals of Keukenhof, it is a joy to cycle through the tulip fields, and encounter the mesmerising sights, the fragrance and the colors!
