Air Arabia announces repatriation Flights to Egypt from 11th-16th June 2020

Air Arabia has started booking repatriation flights from UAE to Egypt. The flights to Egypt are scheduled from Sharjah International Airport to Borg El Arab International Airport, Alexandria, and Cairo International Airport of Dubai. The detailed flight schedule is as given below:

All passengers traveling from certain countries or airports with emirates must have a COVID-19 negative certificate issued by a local government approved laboratory. A UAE government-designated laboratory certificate in the country of origin is also acceptable.

Emirates temporarily suspends passenger service from Pakistan from June 24

Emirates airline on Wednesday suspended scheduled passenger services from Pakistan after it was confirmed that 26 passengers had tested positive for coronavirus on Emirates flight to Hong Kong on June 20. Those passengers had traveled from Pakistan and transited through Dubai airport and then boarded the second Emirates flight to Hong Kong. 

The Emirates carrier said it would continue cargo and repatriation flights to Pakistan as per the announced schedule and is working hard to resume service as soon as possible.

Emirates Resumes Flight to 29 cities

Emirates flights from UAE resumes offering passenger services to 29 cities in different countries.

From 8th June onwards:

Emirates is resuming flights from Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore.

From 11th June onwards:

Emirates flights from UAE are operational in Bahrain, Manchester, Zurich, Vienna, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Dublin, New York JFK, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Taipei, Hong Kong, Perth and Brisbane with already existing flights to London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney, Melbourne, and Manila.

Philippines Airlines mandates Face Shields and Masks

As per the guidelines of Philippine Department of Transportation, the Philippine Airlines announces it compulsory for all passengers to wear face shields and masks from August 15, 2020. Passengers will have to wear masks and shield throughout the flight.

PAL Dubai: Mandatory Information in PNR Data

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities have implemented new regulatory guidelines for bookings on flights flying to and from the UAE.

The regulation mandates the input of the following information at the time of ticketing.

  1. Travel document number, i.e passport number
  2. Nationality
  3. Name as per travel documents
  4. Date of birth
  5. Gender
  6. Personal phone number
  7. Personal email address

To ensure compliance with the new regulations, frontlines must collect the above information and input the same to the passenger’s booking record or PNR before the ticket is issued.

Philippine Airlines to Resume Flying in June 2020

Philippine Airlines are reviewing the 15th – 30th June schedule plans for the following routes: US, Canada, Guam, the Middle East, Japan, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. They will update the announcement in due course.  

June 2020 flight schedules are highly subject to change for reasons beyond the control:

  • Entry restrictions and requirements set by local government units (LGUs) for domestic travel, which change day-to-day.

MANILA (NAIA) Terminal Assignments 

For June 2020, all the International flights from Manila will depart from NAIA Terminal 1. Arrivals will be at NAIA Terminal 2. 

The departure and arrival of all domestic flights will be at NAIA Terminal 2. 

Flying Safely in the ‘New Normal’ 

  • In compliance with international health and safety protocols, PAL is strictly implementing Fly Safe “new normal” practices to protect the passengers as they travel with them.

Guidelines For Passengers to from and via Abu Dhabi

Dubai: Updated Travel Guidelines

All travelers to Dubai, having Dubai residence visa are informed that it is a must to get approval for the return from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA). If you are traveling from below mentioned countries then along with GDRFA approval, you are also supposed to check your eligibility for traveling to UAE on uaeentry.ica.gov.ae. The none eligible candidates will not be allowed to travel.

The countries are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka.

Procedure for GDRFA Approval

  • Travelers can apply for return approval while booking a flight or by certified submitting the application on the GDRFA official website beforehand.
  • You will have to submit your Resident File Number in the application. The number is present on the visa under File.
  • Your application status will be shown on GDRFA Website. For approved applications, the email will be sent with a   GDRFA reference number. In case the application is not processed immediately after request, you can recheck after four days.
  • The GDRFA Application Number is mandatory in the process of flight booking.
  • GDRFA approval is only for travelers without the Dubai residence visa will not be issued with the return approval by GDRFA. For residence visa holders from another emirate, ICA, or GDRFA approval to travel to Dubai is not required.

Important Information

  • All the passengers traveling to Dubai must have a negative result of the COVID-19 PCR test taken not more than 96 hours prior to departure for Dubai. The report must be in printed form as no digital certificate or and will be accepted. All the UAE residents, citizens, tourists, and connecting flight passengers are subject to this condition.
  • passengers with severe or moderate disability and children below 12 years of age are not subjected to the condition of the printed PCR test report.
  • Travelers from India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan are directed to get a PCR test certificate only from designated labs specified by the UAE Government. Travelers from other destinations can use any of their reliable labs.
  • It is possible that you are subjected to one more PCR test upon arrival in Dubai at the airport itself. If the test results to positive than you will be quarantined under the COVID-19 protocol of Dubai health authorities.
  • It is a must to download DXB App on your smartphone.
  • All the passengers are supposed to fill the health declaration form which is to be submitted at check-in. The form is available at check-in also.
  • For travelers with Dubai as the last destination, a quarantine undertaking form is supposed to be filled. The form will be provided onboard and will be submitted to the Dubai Health Authority staff on arrival.

Air France and KLM are resuming flight services with ten weekly flights to and from Dubai, UAE effective the 1st  of July 2020.

Air France is offering three weekly flights on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from Paris with a return from Dubai on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. These flights will be operated with an Airbus A350-900.

KLM offers daily flights to and from Dubai that will be operated with a Boeing 777-200.

Emirates temporarily suspends passenger service from Pakistan from June 24

Emirates airline on Wednesday suspended scheduled passenger services from Pakistan after it was confirmed that 26 passengers had tested positive for coronavirus on Emirates flight to Hong Kong on June 20. Those passengers had traveled from Pakistan and transited through Dubai airport and then boarded the second Emirates flight to Hong Kong. 

The Emirates carrier said it would continue cargo and repatriation flights to Pakistan as per the announced schedule and is working hard to resume service as soon as possible.

PAL Dubai: Mandatory Information in PNR Data

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities have implemented new regulatory guidelines for bookings on flights flying to and from the UAE.

The regulation mandates the input of the following information at the time of ticketing.

  3. Name as per travel documents
  4. Date of birth
  5. Gender
  6. Personal phone number
  7. Personal email address

Philippine Airlines to Resume Flying in June 2020

Dubai: Updated Travel Guidelines

All travelers to Dubai, having Dubai residence visa are informed that it is a must to get approval for the return from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA). If you are traveling from below mentioned countries then along with GDRFA approval, you are also supposed to check your eligibility for traveling to UAE on uaeentry.ica.gov.ae. The none eligible candidates will not be allowed to travel.

The countries are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka.

Procedure for GDRFA Approval

  • Travelers can apply for return approval while booking a flight or by certified submitting the application on the GDRFA official website beforehand.
  • You will have to submit your Resident File Number in the application. The number is present on the visa under File.
  • Your application status will be shown on GDRFA Website. For approved applications, the email will be sent with a   GDRFA reference number. In case the application is not processed immediately after request, you can recheck after four days.
  • The GDRFA Application Number is mandatory in the process of flight booking.
  • GDRFA approval is only for travelers without the Dubai residence visa will not be issued with the return approval by GDRFA. For residence visa holders from another emirate, ICA, or GDRFA approval to travel to Dubai is not required.

Important Information

  • All the passengers traveling to Dubai must have a negative result of the COVID-19 PCR test taken not more than 96 hours prior to departure for Dubai. The report must be in printed form as no digital certificate or and will be accepted. All the UAE residents, citizens, tourists, and connecting flight passengers are subject to this condition.
  • passengers with severe or moderate disability and children below 12 years of age are not subjected to the condition of the printed PCR test report.
  • Travelers from India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan are directed to get a PCR test certificate only from designated labs specified by the UAE Government. Travelers from other destinations can use any of their reliable labs.
  • It is possible that you are subjected to one more PCR test upon arrival in Dubai at the airport itself. If the test results to positive than you will be quarantined under the COVID-19 protocol of Dubai health authorities.
  • It is a must to download DXB App on your smartphone.
  • All the passengers are supposed to fill the health declaration form which is to be submitted at check-in. The form is available at check-in also.
  • For travelers with Dubai as the last destination, a quarantine undertaking form is supposed to be filled. The form will be provided onboard and will be submitted to the Dubai Health Authority staff on arrival.

Air India Express flights are now available to certain cities of India from UAE

Air India Express flights are now available to book from UAE into certain cities of India under Vande Bharat Mission.

Restrictions and Eligibility as follows:

  • Any Indian National who has registered on the website of the Embassy of India (Abu Dhabi) or Consulate General of India (Dubai).
  • Flights available are from 3rd July – 14th July 2020 under Phase IV of the Vande Bharat Mission.

Air France-KLM Resumes Flights to and from the UAE in July

Air France and KLM are resuming flight services with ten weekly flights to and from Dubai, UAE effective the 1st  of July 2020.

Air France is offering three weekly flights on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from Paris with a return from Dubai on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. These flights will be operated with an Airbus A350-900.

KLM offers daily flights to and from Dubai that will be operated with a Boeing 777-200.
